Over 130 Argentine businesspeople are travelling to China to participate in the multi-sector mission organized by the Argentine government, in the context of the official visit by President Macri, with a view to increasing trade and investment with the Asian giant, currently our second trade partner.

The delegation will include Alejandro Bulgheroni (Pan American Energy), Marcelo Mindlin (Pampa Holdings), Luis Betnaza (Techint), Miguel Kaufmann Brea (UIA, Argentine Industrial Union), Miguel Etchevere (Argentine Rural Society), Susana Balbo (Dominio del Plata winery); Alberto Arizu (Wines of Argentina); Luis Galli (Newsan); Ulises Forte (Argentine Beef Promotion Institute) and Daniel Funes de Rioja (COPAL, Coordinator for Food and Beverage Industries), among others.

Argentine Foreign Ministry sources have stated that the call focused on the agrifood, wine, energy, infrastructure, transport and tourism sectors, as a result of business and investment intelligence research conducted alongside our Embassy in China.

The business agenda to be followed in Beijing on 16 May includes business rounds in which over 800 Chinese businesspeople will participate, as well as a Trade and Investment Forum at which President Macri, Foreign Minister Malcorra, Ministers Caputo, Aranguren, Dietrich and Buryaile, and officials from the Ministry of Tourism will give presentations.

On 17 May, food and beverage companies will attend the SIAL Exhibition in Shanghai, Asia's biggest showcase for the agroindustry sector, where they will engage thousands of importers from the world's largest and most dynamic market.

Also on 17 May a workshop on tourism will be held in Shanghai for officials from the Ministry of Tourism and over 20 Argentine companies from the sector that are part of the delegation to hold meetings with their counterparts, seeking to boost Chinese tourism and investment in our country.
