This morning, at the Palacio San Martin, the Argentine Foreign Minister, Susana Malcorra, and the Minister of Finance, Alfonso Prat Gay, received CEOs of top-tier Mexican companies who accompanied President Peña Nieto on his visit to Argentina.
In the presence of representatives of over 20 first-class large companies interested in making or increasing investments in Argentina, the Ministers explained the central themes and the measures adopted since December by President Mauricio Macri, which have led to an intelligent reinsertion of Argentina into the world, as well as to a new business climate.
The businesspersons included Carlos Salazar Lomelín (CEO of FEMSA, the largest Coca-Cola bottling plant outside the United States), Raúl Obregón (Bimbo Group), Jorge Vallejo (Nissan), Guillermo Vogel (Tenaris), Xavier González Zirión (Fénix Group - Dr. Ahorro Drugstores), Enrique Bojorquez (Sucroliq), Carlos Rojas (Rotoplas) and Oscar Albin Santos (Autopartes), among others.
They had the opportunity to talk with Malcorra and Prat Gay, who also instructed their respective teams to work with the private sector on the different topics discussed, with a view to streamlining trade and investments.
The visitors also presented their business projects and highlighted the brave policies adopted by the Argentine Government, as well as their decision to believe in Argentina. They further expressed their satisfaction at finding a new Argentina, which has friendly relations with the world and government officials who have an open-door policy and are willing to rapidly facilitate the inflow of investments.
