“We must think of investment as a driving force for growth and our long-term future," Foreign Minister Susana Malcorra stated today as the head of a business forum held at the Palacio San Martín, with the participation of officials and sector representatives from the two countries, alongside the president of the Swiss Confederation, Doris Leuthard.
Malcorra highlighted the importance of private sector participation and the role of the Government to that end, and underscored that "the major changes introduced by our country are part of a conscious decision to leave behind a long period of short-term measures that undermined our future."
For her part, Leuthard praised "Argentina's openness to foreign investment" and was confident that, from now on, dialogue between the two countries will be fruitful.
In parallel to this business forum, Malcorra held a meeting with the President of Economie Suisse, Heinz Karrer, head of the official business delegation from the European country. Karrer discussed with Malcorra the goals, guidelines and perspectives of the Swiss Business Federation.
