Today in Paris, the Argentine Deputy Foreign Minister, Daniel Raimondi, met with the Secretary-General of the French Foreign Ministry, Maurice Gourdault-Montagne, to review the most important issues on the bilateral agenda.

Both government officials underscored the current excellent state of the bilateral relationship between Argentina and France and the progress made so far on the development of the "Joint Economic and Commercial Roadmap" signed in 2016.

Ambassador Gourdault-Montagne underscored the positive impact of the reforms being carried out in Argentina and the policy of integration with the world pursued by President Macri's administration. In this regard, he reiterated France's support for Argentina's OECD membership bid, as previously expressed by President Emmanuel Macron on the occasion of President Macri's visit in January this year.

They also addressed the challenges facing the Argentine G20 Presidency and the upcoming French G7 Presidency, as well as the state of the MERCOSUR-EU negotiation.
