The First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Serbia, Ivica Dacic, paid an official visit to Argentina on 21-22 November.
During his stay in Argentina, Dacic held a meeting with Vicepresident Gabriela Michetti and Foreign Minister Jorge Faurie, at which they addressed the main issues pertaining to the bilateral, multilateral and regional agendas.
At the end of the Foreign Ministers meeting, an Economic and Trade Cooperation Agreement was signed, establishing the legal framework for the development of bilateral economic relations.
The visit also included an address by Minister Dacic at the Argentine Council for International Relations (CARI) on Serbia's Foreign Policy and Global Challenges and the inauguration of the Square of Serbia in the City of Buenos Aires, as a symbol of amity between the two peoples and to reciprocate the inauguration of the Square of Argentina in Belgrade on 26 October.
Finally, regarding the Malvinas Question, Foreign Minister Faurie expressed his gratitude to his Serbian counterpart for Serbia's support for the resumption of bilateral negotiations with the United Kingdom with a view to resolving the sovereignty claim, in accordance with the United Nations resolutions. In addition, he reiterated Argentina's commitment to Serbia's territorial integrity.
