Meeting of the Scientific Subcommittee of the Commission on Fisheries of the South Atlantic Ocean

With a view to maintaining a constructive and substantive dialogue with the United Kingdom on issues of shared interest, the meeting of the Scientific Subcommittee of the Commission on Fisheries of the South Atlantic Ocean (CPAS) will take place on 14-15 May, pursuant to the Joint Declaration of 28 November 1990.

The aim of the meeting is to resume bilateral scientific cooperation activities for the preservation of fishery resources in the Southwestern Atlantic Ocean.

The meeting will be attended by scientists and officials from the Argentine Republic and from the United Kingdom.

It will be held under the agreed sovereignty formula contained in the Joint Statement of Madrid of 19 October 1989.
