An information meeting on the status of the Mercosur-EU negotiations for a bi-regional partnership agreement was held today at the Palacio San Martín of the Foreign Ministry aimed at Ministers and provincial officials.
The Undersecretary for Institutional Relations and Public Diplomacy, Tomás Kroyer, welcomed the guests and underscored the importance of the meeting with a view to the next round of bi-regional negotiations.
A presentation was delivered by the negotiating team, headed by the Secretary for International Economic Relations, Horacio Reyser Travers, joined by the Secretary for Trade of the Ministry of Production, Miguel Braun, and the Secretary for Agro-food Markets of the Ministry of Agro-industry. In addition, high-ranking officials of the different Argentine Ministries participated in the event.
The meeting generated great interest among the representatives of the provinces, who shared their views and put specific questions to the speakers regarding the impact of the negotiations on their provinces.
