Last 10 July, the Argentine Foreign Ministry was informed by the Ministry of Justice of Brazil of the Agreement to form a joint investigation team between Argentina's and Brazil's Attorneys General, which was signed on June 16 in Buenos Aires.
The Agreement establishes that it will be applicable upon the intervention of the relevant Central Authorities in charge of international legal cooperation. In Argentina, said authority is the Foreign Ministry, and in Brazil, it is the Ministry of Justice.
The Argentine Foreign Ministry is thus analyzing the Agreement, as a priority and responsibly, within the framework of its legal jurisdiction and pursuant to the provisions of the Agreement established by both Attorneys General, including the modifications proposed by the Government of Brazil.
