Foreign Minister Jorge Faurie met with his counterpart from San Marino, Nicola Renzi, in order to address issues pertaining to the bilateral relationship, with a special focus on economic, trade, educational, cultural, tourism and tax information cooperation, as well as San Marino's participation in the 2023 Buenos Aires International Expo.
In addition, they underscored shared values, addressed issues of mutual interest and reaffirmed joint work in major multilateral fora of which both States are members.
The Ministers also addressed the development of the communities residing in each country. Argentina is home to the world's third largest Sammarinese community, with seven recognized associations distributed among the following localities and provinces: the City of Buenos Aires, Pergamino, Córdoba (with 2 associations), Mendoza, Jujuy and Viedma. San Marino is home to a highly active Argentine community.
Both Foreign Ministers exchanged opinions and views on global issues and signed a Memorandum of Understanding in order to strengthen bonds and cooperation at the bilateral and multilateral levels.
