The Argentine Government condemns the violent events that took place in Caracas today during the "Gran Plantón" large-scale demonstrations called by members of the opposition and specially condemns the aggressions against congressmen Miguel Pizarro and Juan Requesens, of the Mesa de Unidad Democrática opposition party.
The Argentine Government reiterates the need to guarantee the right to peacefully demonstrate, as well as the right to freedom of expression, and calls on the Venezuelan Government and opposition to resume work to reach a lasting solution to the crisis faced by the sister nation.
