The Argentine Government welcomes the release of the opposition leaders held in custody in Venezuela and hopes that this will constitute a step towards the reconciliation of all Venezuelans and will facilitate the dialogue sponsored by the Holy See and UNASUR. Argentina further wishes that it will make it possible to consolidate harmony, peace and mutual respect in that sister nation, within a framework of full respect for democratic institutionality.
