Soccer club River Plate honoured the White Helmets Commission of the Argentine Foreign Ministry for its work in the field of humanitarian aid and for the social work it undertakes.
The event took place at the Antonio Vespucio Liberti Stadium and was chaired by River Plate’s President, Rodolfo D´Onofrio, who was accompanied by the idol and former River forward, Fernando Cavenaghi; River Plate’s Public Relations President, Adrián Varela; Romä Agency’s CEO, Marina Méndez; the recently appointed Argentine Ambassador to Russia, Ricardo Lagorio and the president of the White Helmets Commission, Ambassador Alejandro Daneri.
D´Onofrio stated: "River tries to be as close as possible to those who go to the most complex and hard places. Wherever in the world someone needs help, the White Helmets are present. They are the Argentines present wherever there is a need,” underscored River’s President.
Alejandro Daneri stated: “We thank and we appreciate River Plate’s recognition to the White Helmets, and we appreciate to feel like home. This institution and its authorities enable us to work and help people. They help us to help. We appreciate that and we thank River’s authorities.”
In this joint endeavour, both institutions, River Plate as a non-profit organization and the most important social worker in the country, and the White Helmets Commission as Argentina’s humanitarian aid body, strengthen the path to fostering positive values.
