The Argentine Government reiterates its position in favour of a two-state solution, with the two States coexisting in peace, respectfully and recognizing the 1967 borders, and the special status of Jerusalem in accordance with the successive United Nations General Assembly resolutions.
Argentina recognizes the right of the State of Israel to live in peace with its neighbours, within secure and internationally recognized borders, as well as the right of the Palestinian people to establish a free, independent and viable State based on the 1967 borders and in accordance with the decisions reached by the parties in the negotiation process.
Like most of the international community, Argentina supports the special international regime of Jerusalem, pursuant to UN General Assembly Resolution 181 (1947), as well as the right to free and unrestricted visit, transit and access to the Holy Sites for those who profess the three major monotheistic religions (Judaism, Christianity and Islam). Therefore, Argentina regrets any unilateral measures that may modify such special status.
