Organized by the Latin American Network for Education in Nuclear Technology (LANENT) and sponsored by the Argentine Foreign Ministry, agencies and companies of the Argentine nuclear industry, the Second International Symposium on Education, Training, Outreach and Management of Nuclear Knowledge will be held through 17 November.
The opening session of the Symposium, held yesterday at the Manuel Belgrano Auditorium of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Worship, featured speeches by the Director for International Security and Nuclear and Space Affairs of the Foreign Ministry, the President of LANENT and the Director of the Academic Council of the Argentine Atomic Energy Commission.
In his opening speech, the representative of the Foreign Ministry underscored that the joint work by Argentine diplomats and the public and private agencies of the nuclear industry has resulted in sustained support for the Argentine nuclear industry's exports and in the great performance of Argentine officials at the bilateral and multilateral levels. He also highlighted the education opportunities that agencies of the nuclear industry have always afforded officials of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Worship.
The symposium features panels composed of Latin American experts in human resources training in the field of nuclear sciences, authorities of regional research centres and authorities of training institutes in physics and engineering.
