The Minister of Justice, Germán Garavano, and the Deputy Foreign Minister, Daniel Raimondi, today signed with the Ukrainian Minister of Justice, Pavló Petrenko, the treaties between both countries on Extradition, Mutual Legal Assistance in Criminal Matters and Transfer of Sentenced Persons.
The agreements will strengthen international legal cooperation in criminal matters as an effective means of fighting crime, especially transnational organized crime. The agreement on the transfer of sentenced persons will in turn contribute to resocialize Argentine or Ukrainian nationals who must serve their sentences in the territory of the other party.
These agreements increase the body of cooperation instruments with Ukraine.
