Argentina welcomes the 2017 Sakharov Prize for Freedom of Thought awarded by the European Parliament to the Venezuelan democratic opposition.
Argentina hopes that this recognition fosters the efforts of the opposition and keeps it united as it seeks a solution to the serious crisis faced by Venezuela.
