Workshop on the Responsible Use of Chemistry for university professors

On 9-10 November, an update workshop on teaching about the Responsible Use of Knowledge about Chemistry will be held at the Palacio San Martín. The workshop is organized jointly by the Secretariat for University Policies of the Ministry of Education and the Argentine National Authority for the Chemical Weapons Convention (ANCAQ).

This event is included within the "National Project on Education about the Responsible and Safe Use of Chemical Sciences and Technology", which is being carried out by the Ministry of Education and the Foreign Ministry since 2013, in line with the priority assigned by the Organisation for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons to education and dissemination activities. This course is also included within the activities carried out by Argentina to mark the 20th anniversary of the OPCW.

The workshop, which is taught by professionals of the Argentine Institute of Scientific and Technical Research for Defence (CITEDEF), is aimed at university professors of chemical sciences-related subjects, in order to provide them with tools and teaching methods to raise students' awareness about the importance of the peaceful use of chemical sciences and technology.

Course attendance is free of charge and subject to a maximum capacity for 25 participants. Application forms must be submitted to the following e-mail address: spu-ancaq@educación.gob.ar.
