This paper analyses the systemic technological and economic phenomenon of artificial intelligence, characterises its value chain and describes its potential impact on the global economy. In doing so, it examines AI based on its transformative potential, comparable to that of previous major technological revolutions.
Within this framework, the paper assesses Argentina's structural capabilities to position itself as a regional, and even global, hub for artificial intelligence, thanks to its relevant competitive advantages. These include a highly skilled workforce, a robust educational and scientific system, a dynamic network of companies linked to the knowledge economy, its digital infrastructure, and a powerful and scalable energy supply.
