A team of volunteers from White Helmets of the Argentine Ministry of Foreign Affairs worked in the province of Misiones together with the local Lions Club, in the northern indigenous communities.
The team, made up of different health specialists, set up a health camp in three Guaraní communities of Cuña Piru, in the Mesopotamia province. A survey and situation analysis of vulnerable areas was carried out there. They also trained in the use and potabilization of water, for which they provided water purification tablets.
The work of this team of experts from White Helmets, headed by volunteer Dr. Leandro Herbón, allowed medical assistance to be provided to about 400 children and 150 young people and adults from the communities, with a focus on strengthening local resources and basic assistance.
