President Mauricio Macri closed today the Economic Forum organized by the Argentine Foreign Ministry in Berlin. Addressing over 300 business sector representatives, Macri stated: "Argentina's doors are open not only for those wishing to invest, but also for those who want to reside in our country."

At the German Chamber of Industry and Commerce (DIHK), one of the world's most powerful business entities, Macri invited those people present to take advantage of Argentina's potential, and he added: "Our intention is to foster a growth cycle based on investment."

In the morning, the President had received the more than 70 Argentine business sector representatives who accompanied him in his official visit with Chief of Cabinet Marcos Peña, Foreign Minister Susana Malcorra and Minister of Transport Guillermo Dietrich.

Macri assured businesses —most of them SMEs— that the Argentine Government will continue working every day with a strong commitment to building bridges, opening doors and contributing to Argentina's growth.

President Macri highlighted that, since December, his team has been working on "establishing clear rules that guarantee stability" to promote investments and job creation, in order to "make progress towards the goal of zero poverty."

In a positive environment favoured by the outcome of the business meetings and sectoral panels held in Hamburg and Berlin by the Argentine Foreign Ministry, representatives of the automotive, food, energy, wine, technological and logistics services, infrastructure and banking sectors, among others, highlighted the willingness shown by their German counterparts to develop joint business activities.

"We want German small and medium businesses to come to Argentina and establish partnerships with Argentine companies to integrate value chains and generate competitiveness together," said President Macri.
