This report analyses the evolution of Argentina’s foreign trade in goods during 2025, its most relevant trading partners and the main products exported and imported.
Highlights
- In 2025, Argentine exports totalled USD 87.1 billion, while imports amounted to USD 75.8 billion. Consequently, the trade balance recorded a surplus of USD 11.3 billion.
- As a result of the higher year-on-year growth rate of imports (24.7%) compared to exports (9.3%), the trade surplus fell by USD 7.6 billion.
- Brazil remained the main destination, followed by China, the European Union, the United States and Chile.
- Exports were led by manufactures of agricultural and industrial origin. The most prominent agricultural goods were soybean meal and pellets, soybean oil and beef; and among industrial goods, pick-up trucks and unwrought gold stood out.
- Imports grew across all sector categories. The most dynamic were vehicles, followed by consumer goods and capital goods.
