Highlights
Most Argentine exports focus on four categories: other business services (35.8% of the total); travel (26.9%); telecommunications, IT and information (15.7%) and transportation (13.6%). The following appear with a smaller share: personal, cultural and recreational services; charges for the use of intellectual property; financial services and government goods and services, among others.
The top ten markets that demand Argentine services, in order of importance, are as follows: the United States, Brazil, Chile, Uruguay, United Kingdom, Spain, Mexico, Paraguay, Ireland and Germany. These ten countries account for 69.7% of the total shipments.
In terms of global competitiveness, beyond its absolute position as an exporter (56), Argentina reveals advantages, and therefore has better export capacity, in personal, cultural and recreational services; travel; business services; and telecommunications, computing, and information.
Finally, in relation to trade in services for Argentina by mode of supply, in 2024 59.5% of exports were of the cross-border type, mainly explained by the provision of business services. Regarding the rest of the exports, 31.5% respond to the consumption of services by non-residents within our country and 2.9% to the physical presence of Argentine service providers abroad.
