In the first two months of the year exports totalled US$ 10.2 billion, while imports amounted to US$ 10.4 billion, resulting in a deficit trade balance of US$ 261 million.

The Centre for International Economy (CEI), under the authority of the Secretariat for International Economic Relations, was created in 1987 and is comprised of a staff of economists and professionals from related areas, with a strong specialization in international economics, international trade and trade negotiations.
