This report summarises the consumption prospects and business opportunities to be explored in Vietnam, which stands out as one of the main engines of consumption in Asia.
Vietnam ranks among the top ten Asian economies and fifth within ASEAN. Projections place it among the 20 economies with the highest growth by 2024 and with growth rates above the continent’s average for the coming years. It is a market that is emerging as one of the engines of consumption in Asia, with a significant population increase, especially of the urban population and of the greater purchasing power sectors.
The increase in the demand for processed foods, as well as the growth of hotel and restaurant services, that require premium quality food products, and the local food industry, that demands high-quality inputs and raw materials, generate important opportunities for the export of Argentine goods and services in the food and agricultural products sectors oriented to consumption. Likewise, there are very good prospects in the field of agribusiness, through the participation of our exportable supply in goods, inputs, technological packages and services related to agriculture, livestock and agricultural machinery/technology.
This report summarises these consumption prospects and the business opportunities that can be explored in the Vietnamese market and adds to the series of studies for different markets in Asia and Africa published by the CEI. (In Spanish)
